ITINERARY
Day 01: Srinagar
Arrive Srinagar , meeting upon arrival with assistance to Dlx. Houseboat/hotel. PM, Free to relax to enjoy the scenic views of mountain ranges around Dal-lake. Dinner & overnight stay in Dlx. Houseboat/hotel.
Day 02: Srinagar-Local sightseeing (27 kms.)
AM,After breakfast leave for boat ride to explore the Dal lake, waterways, black water, canals, floating gardens, vegetables gardens, water lillies, lotus flowers, easily mobile vendors, floating handicraft centres & inherited lifestyle inside the lake since decades. Return back to Dlx. Houseboat/hotel. PM, Visit to famous Mughal Gardens Cheshma Shahi, Nishat, Shalimar Mughals laid out in the 16 th century & thes fall along the bank of Dal-lake in the heart of Srinagar city & Shankarachariya Temple on a hillock, thus providing panaromic view of entire city, along with famous Dal-lake & river Jehlum, enroute visiting handloom centres famous for Pashmina/Shahtoos shawls & world over reckoned carpets, evening return back to Dlx. Houseboat/hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Srinagar-Sonamarg-Srinagar (174kms)
Leave after breakfast for full day excursion to Sonamarg 87 kms from Srinagar in the north-east of city at an altitude of 3000 mts above sea level. The place offers incredible scenic beauty (on the way) dense forests, gigantic mountains. The place itself is a popular resort for mountaineers, rock climbers, besides an important halt on way to Kargil (Ladakh) & provides the ideal base for various trekking routes, high mountain lakes, glaciers & Shri Amarnath ji holy cave. Evening return back to Dlx. Houseboat/hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 04: Srinagar-Pahalgam (96 kms.)
Leave after breakfast for full day excursion tour to Pahalgam 96 kms. In the south-east of Srinagar situated at an altitude of 2130 mts. Above sea level. It is Kashmir's most popular resort surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, high mountain lakes, it also offers 9 hole golf course, skiing, pony trails, angling (rainbow & brown trouts) horse ridding, trekking (both hard & soft) & various places of interest in & around like Aru valley, Lidderwat valley, Kolhai glacier, Shesh Nag, Chandanwari (route to holy cave), Baisam & Mamil famous for 9 th century old (Shiva Temple) thus happens to be a preffered spot among domestic tourists, check in hotel refresh your self & after lunch in afternoon explore the surroundings with scenic view all around & return back to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
AM, TOUR TO ARU VALLEY OR CHANDANWARI (THE BASE FOR AMARNATH CAVE) & RETURN BACK TO PAHALGAM FOR LUNCH AT HOTEL. PM, FREE FOR PERSONAL ACTIVITIES.
DAY 06: PAHALGAM-GULMARG (148 KMS.)
LEAVE AFTER BREAKFAST FOR FULL DAY EXCURSION TO GULMARG LIES IN THE WEST OF SRINAGAR AT A DISTANCE OF 56 KMS. ON AN ALTITUDE OF 2730 MTS. ABOVE SEA LEVEL, SNOW CAPED MOUNTAINS ARE ALL AROUND ONE CAN EVEN HAVE A VIEW OF NANGA PARBAT ON A CLEAR SUNNY DAY. IT IS PREMIER WINTER SPORTS SKI RESORTS FOR SKIERS WITH ONE OF THE WORLD'S HIGHEST 18 HOLE GOLF COURSES. FOR JOY SEEKERS, CABLE CAR UP TO ALAPATHER VIA KONGIDOORI BY ASIA 'S LONGEST RUN CABLE CAR RIDE APPROX. 5 KMS. AND ALTITUDE WISE WORLDS HIGHEST RUN CABLE CAR CONQUERING ALMOST 14000 FT HEIGHT, RETURN BACK TO HOTEL FOR DINNER & OVERNIGHT STAY.
DAY 07: GULMARG
IN GULMARG TO VISIT KHILANMARG ON HORSE BACK & ON RETURN ENJOY THE RIDE BY GANDOLA CABLE CAR ON YOUR OWN. EVENING RETURN BACK TO HOTEL DINNER & OVERNIGHT STAY.
DAY 08: GULMARG-DEPARTURE
AM, FREE TILL DEPARTURE TRANSFER TO SRINAGAR AIRPORT TO BOARD YOUR SCHEDULED FLIGHT FOR ONWARD DESTINATION.
